A Changing Table For Your New Baby

by miked on March 20, 2010

Having a new baby is certainly a joy, but as any new parent knows, also includes changing a lot of diapers. Since your new bundle of joy will be in diapers for at least the next two to three years, it is important that you choose the right changing table to make the job easier.

When looking to purchase a baby changing table, consider whether a combo changing table dresser would be right for you. A combo changing table dresser includes a section to place a changing pad, while also featuring a set of drawers underneath and a tower to one side. As the child grows older, the changing pad can be taken off and used as a dresser top.
The appeal to using a combo changing table dresser is that this furniture grows with your child, while also providing ample storage room. The drawbacks are that these combo dressers are more expensive than traditional changing tables and that some parents feel that even once the changing mat is removed, the dresser will still look like a changing table.
